Moscow, October 9, Interfax - It is possible that a center of radical Islam could form in Crimea, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexey Pushkov said.
"While Kiev is concerned about the rapprochement with the European Union, it could miss the formation of a center of radical Islam in Crimea. The open rally of Hizb ut-Tahrir is alarming," Pushkov tweeted.
The Izvestia newspaper has reported that Wahabis almost held an international forum in Crimea. Representatives of the Hizb ut-Tahrir party came to Simferopol from all over post-Soviet space and Middle East. They intended to hold an international forum to discuss the issue of Muslims' oppression in the CIS countries on October 7-8.
